FROM THE FOUNDER
Leadership. Integrity. System Responsibility
I’m Sonya (Georgievski) Comninos, Founder and Principal of EOX Business Partners.
I work with boards, executives and emerging leaders to identify and address systemic issues that quietly undermine performance, trust and psychological safety. My focus is on helping leaders see what is forming beneath the surface — and take responsibility for redesigning the systems they lead.
With more than 30 years’ experience across banking, finance and operational environments, I am known for recognising the patterns in systems, behaviour and culture that either support sustainable performance or quietly undermine it.
Why This Work Matters To Me
Across more than three decades working in banking, financial services and complex operational environments, I have seen how often organisational harm is created not by bad intent, but by weak systems, blurred accountability and silence.
I have watched capable people lose confidence.
I have seen values erode under pressure.
I have observed risks grow unnoticed until they became crises.
EOX was established to address this pattern — by helping leaders move beyond surface solutions and take responsibility for the conditions they create.
How I Work
My work combines system analysis, executive advisory and leadership development with a strong ethics and accountability lens.
I focus on:
- how decisions are really made
- how responsibility is held
- how safety is protected
- how power operates
- how conflict is managed
This enables leaders to act with clarity, credibility and courage — particularly in complex or high-risk environments.
My approach is candid, reflective and practical. I offer independent perspective, constructive challenge and deep respect for context.
Experience & Credentials
I bring over 30 years’ experience across banking, financial services, advisory and governance environments, working closely with boards, executive teams and complex stakeholder groups.
I hold:
- Master of Business Administration (University of Melbourne)
- Certificate IV in Personal and Business Coaching
- Certified Project Manager (Australian Institute of Project Managers)
I am an Advisory Board Member with Business Women Australia, a mentor with Melbourne Business School (University of Melbourne), and a mentor with Glen Eira City Council.
Voices For Respect
Alongside EOX, I founded Voices for Respect to address psychological harm, systemic bullying and ethical failure in workplaces.
This initiative reflects my belief that leadership capability and human dignity are inseparable — and that systems must be designed to protect both.
My Commitment
I work with leaders who are serious about addressing root causes — not just symptoms.
Integrity, accountability, responsibility, trust, impact and collaboration are not aspirational statements to me. They are the standards that guide my work, shape my judgement and define my partnerships.
I believe organisations can perform strongly without eroding humanity — when leadership is grounded in self-awareness, discipline and responsibility.
